Well sorta -- 1 scout is the "utility" bard, and 1 tank is the "dps" monk. And 1 mage is the "utility" coercer.

Regardless -- I've never had anyone complain that I wasn't doing my job right in group. If anything I get kudos for how well I've done. I don't know so much that it's that I'm a good player, since I know I often forget I even HAVE certain abilities on my hotbars, so I know I don't make full use of "everything" I can do, but if I'm on my healer, I can heal like nobody's business, I've got a good casting order on my mages in order to do dps, I'm told I'm a most excellent group tank by people claiming to be raid tanks on alts, so overall I guess I'm doing okay within the "role defined subsets" at least, and since in EQ2 that's more why you bring a toon than anything (no real off specs), I feel like I do all right.

Just wish I knew if I had a good reputation on the server or if I'm just too small a player to have one.Magsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05870589034885773525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-826986957606858027.post-3565916101645999592009-10-27T12:29:34.362-04:002009-10-27T12:29:34.362-04:00Don't forget kiting; that's useful in most...Don't forget kiting; that's useful in most games if you're fighting something tougher than normal. Kiting can be performed with or without snares, and basically involves the caster opening with an alpha strike, then whittling foes down while moving away from them. Optimally, a good kiter never takes a single hit from the foes trailing along behind him/her.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-826986957606858027.post-11241985211160578822009-10-26T22:18:32.878-04:002009-10-26T22:18:32.878-04:00This reminds me of something I like a lot in SWG s...This reminds me of something I like a lot in SWG so far: you can change class the way we used to change specs before dual-specs. This means they can have solo professions and group professions and professions that I can see no combat use for at all. Instead of "bring the player not the class" it's "bring the player, they're whatever class you need." I'm probably making it sound better than it is (due to ignorance), but the idea is there.Klepsacovichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07915576683657376929noreply@blogger.com
