Explaining the strats took a fair chunk of time, and there were some miscues on Gothlik and the start of the Thaddius encounter where they were having trouble figuring out how to divide the raid for approximately even DPS.

I think it also helps that it's now March, rather than January - the average gear and familiarity with the content is going up over time. I hear that people actually deliberately heal through the walls of lava on Sarth these days, rather than spend the time to dodge them.

I definitely plan to stay on the PUG train for long enough to do an OS run and an EOE run for the Champion of the Frozen waste title (10- or 25- doesn't really matter much to me), and maybe even take another try at Loatheb since having 14/15 bosses down will bug me if I don't.

I don't know how far I'd be willing to follow it in the long term, though. Staying up until 3 AM once was absolutely worth it for the opportunity to fight and beat Saph and Kel'Thuzad, two bosses that I only got to see on YouTube in the Naxx-40 era. Without the novelty factor, I'm going to be a bit more picky about the scheduling side of things.Green Armadillohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15564045048380177626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-826986957606858027.post-12894958602732971272009-03-23T15:42:00.000-04:002009-03-23T15:42:00.000-04:00I TOLD you to get on the PUG train! ;)Now go do it...I TOLD you to get on the PUG train! ;)

Now go do it again with better loot luck. :)

Yes, Naxx is easy, and I agree that most encounters are easier in 25 because of the larger margin for error. The best hardcore guilds clear Naxx in less than three hours, and my fairly social guild typically clears it in less than four. Of course, that's with minimal explanation and mostly one-shots.

Congratulations! Now join some Obsidian Sanctum PUGs, it's far easier than Naxx! :)

Fedaykin98Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
